Dear runners, the current flooding situation and high water levels of the Danube have affected the 10 km race course and the afternoon event schedule. We will need to make slight adjustments to the course in the afternoon (the section under the Old Bridge, from both the city and Petržalka sides, is still underwater) to ensure everything runs smoothly and you run on safe, unaffected sections. Although the Danube level is gradually decreasing, we don’t want to leave decisions to the last minute. Please pay close attention to the following information.
Start and Starting Corridors
Both races will begin with a wave start to ensure the most comfortable experience for you. Our main focus is your safety, smooth running, and enough space on the course for you and your fellow runners.
Course maps. ATTENTION! CHANGE FOR THE 10 KM RACE.
The 4 km race course remains unchanged, as does the morning program and the schedule of starts. Please remember that Nordic walking is included in the final start at 12:30 PM.
4 km Race (including Mother-Daughter Run):
- A, 9:30 am: Expected finish time over 30 min
- B, 10:15 am: 28 – 30 min
- C, 11:00 am: 26 – 28 min
- D, 11:45 am: 24 – 26 min
- E, 12:30 pm: Less than 24 min + Nordic walking!!!
You were able to select your start wave during registration. If you didn’t choose a wave, you can select an available one during check-in. You can find out whether you selected a wave and which one by checking your order confirmation. If it’s not listed, you haven’t chosen one. Has your running pace changed since you registered? No worries! You can start in your chosen wave even if your pace is faster or slower. Just enjoy the run!
The entry to the starting corridor is shown on the map below. After the start of Wave A (9:30 am), runners in Wave B should enter the “warm-up corridor” with plenty of time before the 10:15 start. After finishing, runners from Wave A will exit the course at the “exit corridor,” where refreshments are available. Once the last runner from Wave A finishes, Wave B runners will move into the “pink corridor.” Please follow the organizer’s instructions.
The same process applies to Waves C, D, and E — first, enter the “warm-up corridor,” and then move into the start corridor after the previous wave has completed.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!! 10 km Race:
- 3:00 PM – Over 60 minutes
- 4:30 PM – Under 60 minutes – Faster pace!
The 10 km afternoon race course will be completely altered due to the flooding situation. The race organization will proceed as follows:
- We will have two separate starts: 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM (before the second start, we will wait for the last runner from the first start).
- Each start will accommodate 800-900 runners, so we need to ensure a roughly proportional distribution between the two starts. Due to the course adjustments and its capacity, starting at the originally planned times (3:00 PM, 3:15 PM) is not feasible. Therefore, we have chosen two starts at 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM.
- The first start at 3:00 PM is recommended for runners with an expected finish time over 60 minutes (pace 6:00 min/km or slower). The time limit for finishing is 1:30 from the start.
- The second start at 4:30 PM is recommended for runners with an expected finish time under 60 minutes (pace faster than 6:00 min/km).
- The 10 km race will start in the opposite direction of the 4 km race – the 10 km race starts towards the Apollo Bridge (see the map above). The entrance to the starting corridor will be from the side of the Sheraton Hotel.
Technical Map + Start Corridors – 10 km Race:
When picking up your bib number, you will select your start time for the 10 km race and receive a corresponding colored sticker on your bib. Only runners with the designated color sticker will start at 3:00 PM. All others will start at 4:30 PM. Note that the start times previously printed on some bibs for the 10 km race are no longer valid due to this change.
The afternoon race course will now be 10.3 km long. Due to necessary course adjustments, we could not find a solution to maintain the exact 10 km distance. The 10 km marker (including the timing mat) will be placed on Pribinova Street, 300 meters before the finish line. Results will be based on final finish times over the 10.3 km distance, but the official results will also include your time for the 10 km distance for comparison purposes.
Don’t worry about these changes! The corridors will be clearly marked on site, and members of the organizing team will be available to assist if needed.
We look forward to seeing you!
