We understand that you might feel stressed before the start. That’s why we’ve prepared this article to remind you of some key organizational details.
⭐ Bib number Pickup: Registration will take place at the registration tent on M. R. Štefánik Square, Eurovea, during the following times:
❗ The event is fully booked. On-site registration is no longer possible. However, preregistration (changing participant) will be available on-site for a fee of 5 eur. For the transfer, you will need to have an email with the original participant’s registration confirmation (you can show it on your mobile device).
⭐ Changing Rooms and Bag Storage: Changing rooms and bag storage will be available from 18:30 on the day of the event, located at the large outdoor parking area opposite Eurovea. Toilets will be available on-site, and additional toilets are located inside Eurovea. Showers will not be available.
⭐ Event Photos:
At the Telekom Night Run Bratislava, we are partnering with the professional photo service GetPica. Photographers will capture your effort and emotions both on the course and at the finish line. After the event, GetPica will send a link to your photos via email to those participants who consented to having their photos taken during registration.
If you’re unsure whether you provided consent during registration, keep your bib number and visit www.getpica.com. After registering for free, you can enter the numeric code found under the QR code on your bib number to access your photos.
Please ensure your bib number is visible and not covered by additional layers of clothing, so your photos can be properly assigned to you. If you like your photos, you’ll have the option to purchase them individually or in a set at a special price.
⭐ Turbo TV Kid’s Runs:
- Start Time: Children start on Friday, September 6th, 2024, at 18:00.
- Registration: Must be completed by 17:00 on Friday at the latest.
- Race Distances: Children will run distances of 300 m, 600 m, or 800 m, depending on their age. We will start with the youngest participants (identified by letters A or B on their bib numbers), with boys and girls running separately.
- Accompanied Runners: Parents may run with the youngest children (A, B). Please ensure that only 1 parent accompanies each child and avoid interfering with other children and parents. Parents should stay behind the children who are running alone, without accompaniment.
- Results Announcement: Results for the children’s races will be announced at 18:45 on the main stage at Námestie M.R. Štefánika in Eurovea.
⭐ Charity #Rešpekt Run:
- The start is on Saturday, September 7th, at 17:00 in front of the Slovak National Theatre (SND).
- Registration is available up to 1 hour before the start, i.e., until 16:00.
- You will cover a distance of 800 meters along Pribinova Street.
⭐ Starting Corridors for Evening Events Open at 19:30:
- The starting area is divided into 4 zones: A-B-C-D.
- Runners are assigned to specific starting zones based on their reported finish time. At registration, they will receive a sticker for their bib number indicating their starting corridor.
- The first starting zone is further divided into two parts: elite runners, designated by the organizers, will have access to the front part.
- The first zone will be located directly in front of the SND building, opposite Námestie M.R. Štefánika, while the other three zones will be located near Eurovea 2.
- Starting times for each zone will be approximately 2-minute intervals: 20:00, 20:02, 20:04, and 20:06.
⭐ Relay Mattoni Run for Pairs (2 x 5km):
- The first runner (Runner “A”) starts from the second (B) starting zone.
- The second runner waits at the handover point, located on Jesenského Street / Námestie E. Suchoňa (opposite the Slovak National Theatre). They should walk to the handover point (approximately 600 meters from the start/finish area).
- Runner “B” must arrive at the handover point on time and line up according to their numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.).
- Runner “A” will receive a medal and refreshments at the handover point. Runner “B” will receive their medal and refreshments at the finish line.
- The handover is completed by passing the relay baton from Runner “A” to Runner “B”.
⭐ Safety on the Course: Since this is a night run starting after sunset, please be cautious of your steps as the running surface may be uneven in some areas. Avoid collisions with other runners. We will publish a detailed article on our social media and website highlighting specific areas on the course where extra caution is needed to ensure you finish with a smile and injury-free.
⭐ Arrival at the Event:
- We recommend arriving at Eurovea by 18:30 to avoid unnecessary stress before the start.
- If possible, use public transportation to get to the venue.
- If you come by car, we suggest parking in Eurovea’s underground garages and using the “Ružinov” and “Prístav” entrances, which will be open and accessible throughout the event.
⭐ Attention! No Headphones During the Run! Using headphones during the run is prohibited, and violating this rule may result in disqualification. The reason for this ban is primarily your safety. It is essential to hear any instructions and directions from the organizers, police, and emergency services.
⭐ Weather Advisory: On Saturday evening, pleasant, almost summer-like weather is expected. The temperature at the start is likely to be around 23 degrees Celsius, so we recommend wearing a short-sleeved shirt or tank top. Throughout the day, remember to stay hydrated. If you plan to have an early dinner, choose light foods and eat at least 3 hours before the start.
⭐ Music Zones: Several music zones will be along the course to energize your run. In addition to the traditional “DJ zones” and drummers, this year you can also look forward to more musicians and a light show!
⭐ Refreshments on the Course: Runners in the 10 km Grand Prix discipline will have the opportunity to refresh themselves around the fifth kilometer on Jesenského Street, near the relay exchange area. Water and electrolyte drinks will be available.
⭐ After Crossing the Finish Line: Move smoothly through the finish corridor, catch your breath, and collect your participant medal approximately 100 meters ahead. Refreshments will be available a bit further along. Please avoid stopping in the finish corridor and wait for your running friends outside the finish area.
⭐ Special Grand Prix Medal and Photo Wall with Participants’ Names: After crossing the finish line, Grand Prix participants can collect a special Grand Prix medal, symbolizing the successful completion of all three night runs. This area is located at the side of the registration tent. Runners who registered for all three night runs at once will race with a Grand Prix bib number. Those who registered for each night run separately will receive a sticker for their bib number at registration, identifying them as Grand Prix participants, and will be awarded the special medal accordingly.
⭐ Grand Prix 2024 Awards and Raffle: Around 9:30 PM, there will be a raffle on stage for all Grand Prix participants (10 km discipline), with prizes to be won. After the official announcement of the Telekom Night Run Bratislava results, the fastest runners of the Grand Prix series will also be awarded on stage. We will announce both the overall winners and the winners of individual age categories.
⭐ Event Merchandise Shop: As usual, our shop will be available during registration. You’ll find accessories featuring the event design and the entire Grand Prix series.
⭐ Partner Activities:
✨ At the booth of the event’s general partner, Slovak Telekom, there will be a contest on Saturday to win Samsung Galaxy watches! Simply scan the QR code on-site and fill out a short survey. We will draw two lucky winners after announcing the results of the main races.
